Drainage Solutions

Drainage issues in your yard?

Stop the puddles, protect your foundation, and reclaim your yard

Central Indiana’s heavy spring and fall rains, dense clay soils, and freeze–thaw cycles can turn a good yard into a soggy mess. We design and install long-lasting drainage systems that move water away from your home, reduce erosion, and protect your lawn and landscaping in every season.

Standing water in your yard isn’t just an annoyance–it can also attract disease-carrying pests and create health hazards for your family.

WE SPECIALIZE IN CREATING DRAINAGE SOLUTIONS FOR:

  • Standing water & muddy spots after rain
  • Downspouts dumping by your foundation or walkways
  • Keeping water away from crawl space or basement
  • Erosion channels across garden beds or along fence lines
  • Sunken patios & heaving pavers
  • Soggy play areas & dead turf
  • Icy patches in winter where water refreezes on your sidewalk or driveway

PROVEN DRAINAGE SOLUTIONS WE PROVIDE:

  • Downspout drainage & extension solutions
  • Burying downspouts carries roof runoff to a safe outlet.
  • Installing pop-up emitters.
  • Adding cleanouts and drain basins for easier maintenance.

FRENCH DRAINS

  • A French drain is a fabric-lined trench filled with gravel or rock. It can intercept groundwater and surface seepage in lawns and along foundations.
  • Wrapping them in fabric helps avoid clogging with Indiana’s clay soils.

CHANNEL DRAINS & CATCH BASINS

  • Catch basins can collect water run-off from driveways, patios, and low spots.
  • Heavy-duty grates can be installed near your garage to divert water in your driveway.

Grading & swales

  • Correcting the grading in your outdoor space will create the slope needed to drain water away from your house.
  • Broad, shallow swales can effectively move water without causing erosion.

Dry wells & trench drains

  • A trench drain is a long, gravel-filled trench that can temporarily store and slowly release stormwater runoff into the ground.
  • A dry well is an underground, perforated container, like a large barrel or pit, that collects and filters excess stormwater runoff from roofs or driveways.

PERMEABLE HARDSCAPES

  • Permeable pavers work by allowing rainwater to drain through the spaces between the pavers and into an underlying stone reservoir, which then slowly filters the water into the ground.
  • They’re an aesthetically pleasing and functional solution to water near your walkways.

RAIN GARDENS WITH NATIVE PLANTS

  • A rain garden is a beautiful and low-maintenance option to capture runoff in your yard. They’re created by excavating a basin at the base of your yard’s slope for the water to collect.
  • Rain gardens thrive when they’re planted with local natives (e.g., Blue Flag Iris, Swamp Milkweed, Little Bluestem, Fox Sedge, Black-eyed Susan) that flourish in wet–dry cycles.

OUR DRAINAGE SOLUTION PROCESS

  • Conduct an on-site assessment. Our drainage solutions team will measure the slopes in your yard, check your soil type, look for impervious areas and problem zones. We’ll also locate utilities (811) before we dig.
  • Create a plan & proposal. You’ll receive a clear diagram showing pipe routes, inlets/outlets, and recommended components—plus a fixed, line-item estimate that will create a long-term solution to your drainage problems.
  • Restore your yard and landscaping. Once our team has finished installing your drainage system, we’ll restore your yard and landscaping so you can go right back to enjoying your outdoor living space.
