There are loads of landscaping companies in Indianapolis. After a bit of research, they might all start to sound the same. They’re not.
Here’s The Heath Outdoor Difference:
We give back to the community. We put our money (and our elbow grease) where our hearts are.
Yes! Heath Outdoor was founded by Heath Hurst in 2009. (Just one guy and a lawnmower.) As the company grew (and grew!) Heath’s brother Travis Hurst came on board in 2017. They are hands-on owners who are committed to maintaining high standards and giving back to the community. Heath currently oversees the Maintenance Division while Travis oversees Construction and Installation.
We monitor weather and site conditions carefully. If unforeseen conditions (mud, heavy rain, icy ground) make work unsafe or impractical, we’ll communicate with you about schedule adjustments and work to minimize impacts. We aim for transparency and good communication throughout.
If we’re digging, we will contact 811 on your behalf and let you know when to expect them.
Yes. We are fully licensed and insured, and our team takes the utmost care with your property
For installation and construction projects, a 50% deposit of your total proposal amount is required before materials can be ordered and/or work can begin. Maintenance contracts do not require a deposit.
We accept standard payment methods (credit card, check or ACH).
Our business is built on our reputation and our history of doing the right thing for our customers. If you ever have concerns regarding our work (installation or maintenance), please contact us immediately so we can assess and address the issue promptly. We pride ourselves on happy customers.
However, it’s important to remember that proper care of your new landscaping is crucial, and once installation is complete, YOU play an essential role in protecting your investment. We provide many helpful guides, but unless you also wish to include a maintenance contract, the ongoing care of your new landscaping is your responsibility. (You could also consider adding an irrigation system if you know you won’t have time to water regularly!)
The duration of your project depends on the scope, complexity, weather and site conditions. A simple planting or cleanup might take a day; a full outdoor living build could take several weeks. At the proposal stage, we’ll provide an estimated schedule and keep you updated throughout the job.
At our first consultation, our team member will walk your property with you, talk about your goals (style, budget, timeline), assess the site conditions (soil, drainage, sun/shade, existing features) and gather the information needed to prepare a tailored proposal. For outdoor living or build-out projects, we’ll discuss design ideas and options. For maintenance/groundcare programs, we’ll review your current conditions and needs. We’ll turn a proposal around for your consideration as quickly as possible–often as fast as 24-48 hours, but if your project is complex or requires specialty materials, we may need a little more time for pricing and research.
Absolutely. The best way to reach out is to submit this form and tell us more about your project.
